Coinage

Zeus Dove
This silver coin was minted to emphasize the idea of confederacy of the Achaean League (after 280 BC). Each city of the league had in her coins as a standard the laureate head of Zeus and on the reverse the symbol of that city. We can see the Dove (the symbol of Sikyon) underneath the Achaean League monogram.
